What is it?
Laerskool Bergsig has an outstanding language department! Speaking is only one component of language. During the Eisteddfod competitions learners recite poetry for an audience, with an emphasis on delivery and interpretation.
When does it take place?
Rehearsals start in Term 2
The competition takes place in Term 3
General information
Learners are selected from grade R to grade 7.
The learner's teacher will give them their poem or drama script and coach them.
On the day of their performance they also receive a certificate.
